I gotta say, Kune’s has come to the rescue for me many times in just the past 6 or 7 months.
This most recent was the worst … At least for me. A major back-up that was so bad it actually disconnected a couple of fittings under the house. It required environmental clean-up … The whole nine yards.
The problem was so frustrating for me in big ways. I was backed up and/or had all the plumbing just going under the house and not down the sewer. It was a nightmare to say the least.
Scott’s guys were here several times over a 3-4 day period. Once Joe Santovenia was on the job things began to improve. I’ve worked with Joe in the past a few times and came to trust his judgement and respect his knowledge. So just him being on the job made me feel confident that it will all get fixed properly. You can’t imagine how frustrated, worried and upset I was during this four-day period. I never had a home issue this horrible before, and I was worried sick about it.
And then after the environmental clean-up was done, Scott told me he may not be able to get anyone here today. I was like OMG, we gotta get it fixed today before I need another hazardous waste clean-up.
I was actually on the phone with some other unknown, but probably very expensive company. To me it couldn’t wait. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door while I was on hold with this other company. It was Joe Santovenia from Kunes. You can’t imagine my relief. Scott pulled it off and made someone available after all, and it was none other than who I believe is amongst the best in his field.
Poor Joe spent the next few hours mostly under my house. I actually felt bad for him. I’m a disabled senior, but once a couple years back I had to crawl under there, and had panic attack and was afraid I’d never get back out … I have much respect for those who do this kind of thing for a living.
I want to publicly apologize to Scott. In my frustrations and worry in the very early part of this dilemma I left Scott a not so friendly e-mail.
At about 6PM or so Joe told me they’re done and everything is working perfectly. He even ran a camera through the whole system to make sure it was 100% clear and things were running properly.
Thank you guys !!! You can’t imagine my relief and appreciation.
I’m really sorry that I didn’t catch or remember Joe’s assistant’s name. He too was great. They very quickly put my mind at ease and assured me they weren’t leaving until the problem was resolved.
Personally, I don’t think there’s a better plumbing company in South Florida. I really don’t. I’ve lived in this house for almost 30 years and have had a lot of plumbers at my house over the years. None of them were nearly as good as Scott and his team.
I gotta tell you … This company is the best !!!
I was referred to them by our HOA/Management Office after I tried a few others myself that turned out to be not so good in many ways.
I’ve used Kune’s twice in the past couple months. Their service has been nothing short of outstanding. Their employees are extremely friendly, respectful and knowledgeable.
The best part is their pricing is as far as I could tell much more reasonable and fair than most plumbing companies.
For folks on a fixed income Kune’s is your friend. I imagine that is why they’re being recommended by the HOA/Management office in my 55 and older community.
I’ve since went to our office to praise Kune’s and let the Management folks know how happy I was with Kunes.
My first experience was a couple months ago. I had a broken pipe under the concrete driveway. They were able to re-run the water line. They fixed the issue for a very reasonable cost.
More recently I had to have my hot water heater replaced. Again, they were here quickly and took care of the problem perfectly … And again, at what I consider to be a reasonable cost, and I’m as cheap as the next guy … But I’m also realistic.
Their employees are friendly, professional and respectful. Joe Santovenia was particularly helpful. He did some minor little “extra” thing he didn’t have to do but did it on his own that I really appreciated. It was just a small thing. I have an on/off switch to my hot water heater. I rarely ever turn it off, and as such I was never sure if it was switched to on or off … I know that sounds dumb, but it’s true. Joe used a marker and wrote “On” and “Off” on the electrical box so I’ll always know if it’s on or off. It’s a simple, “nothing” thing, but to me it was very thoughtful and considerate and I appreciate it.
Again, Kune’s is the best, and I’ve dealt with many plumbing companies, and I know for a fact that they’re the best. I highly recommend them.
And I’m a real customer. I don’t know anyone at Kune’s personally. This post is from the heart.

Finding a good, reliable and reasonably priced plumber has been a challenge over the years. Trusted referrals have not been forthcoming. So when Kunes Plumbing took care of my emergency with responsive authority I was thrilled I found a plumber I could trust. They gave me great advice and stuck with the project until it was taken care of to my satisfaction. Great team to work with and reasonably priced. I have since referred them to friends who are pleased as well.
I have used Kunes Plumbing for a variety of different projects; ranging from installing new toilet fixtures in my home and office, new shower and kitchen fixtures in my home and most recently a new hot water heater for my home. The work has been done expertly, the workers are professional, clean, courteous and trustworthy and have always arrived in a timely manner and the fees have always been very reasonable. I have being using Kunes Plumbiing services for some of the properties a manage. My tenants always received a good service and I always get a prompt answer from Kunes. I totally recommend them for any plumbing service.
Very responsive and efficient in locating leak underground at main. Repaired in two hours for a very reasonable price. I will definitely be using Kunes for future plumbing needs.
I was called within minutes of my inquiry(really was pleased).I had an outside faucet that was broken & leaking. I had an appointment for the next morning at 8 am. On time & ready to work. In one hour David replaced 3 outside bibs that were aged. Felt really good about cost. Next day I noticed water spewing from a pvc pipe that was replaced with new bib. Called & David was sent out immediately. Problem corrected & cost adjustments were made for 2nd day invoice. The total given was a 2 day 3 hour job. Very happy with work. Just wish I was advised on what could take place. Kunes was very fair with pricing & expertise. Will call them again for other projects
